Privacy policy

This site, yogendrachavda.com, is run by Yogendra Chavda, Manchester, United Kingdom (the controller). It is a personal publication. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. Last updated 4 October 2026.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is used to send the newsletter and for nothing else. Until the newsletter launches, addresses are stored on this site and a notification is emailed to me; once it launches, addresses are held by Kit (ConvertKit), the newsletter service, which records when and from where you subscribed and confirmed. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can also email hello@yogendrachavda.com to be removed.

The contact form

Messages sent through the contact form (your name, email address, the topic and your message) are emailed to me and used only to reply to you. Submissions are checked for spam by Akismet, which processes the submitted details for that purpose. Nothing from the form is added to any list.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (through Site Kit by Google) to understand which pages are read. Analytics cookies are set only after you choose Accept on the cookie banner; before that, consent is denied by default and no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the banner.

Security and hosting

The site is hosted in the United Kingdom by Krystal. Wordfence, a security plugin, records IP addresses and request details in security logs to block attacks; these logs are kept for a limited period. Standard server logs are kept by the host for the same purpose.

Who else sees your data

Only the services named above (Kit, Akismet, Google Analytics, Krystal, Wordfence) process data on my behalf, each for the purpose described. Your information is never sold or shared for marketing by anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by emailing hello@yogendrachavda.com. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Crawlers and AI systems

Public pages on this site may be read by search engines and AI assistants; the site’s robots.txt sets that policy. No subscriber or contact-form data is ever exposed to them.
